Progressed up the chain to a placing broker, specialising in Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, and more recently Cyber Liability for SMEs and large multinational organisations.

Working in the insurance industry for 20 years focusing on customer service. I established the industry consumer helpline dealing with distressed risks including but not limited to: obtaining insurance for underpinned/flood zone properties, Travel insurance for people with medical conditions; and Imported Vehicles insuring on the chassis number. We achieved the pinnacle FCA accreditation.

I have nearly seven years of commercial insurance experience starting as an Account Executive at a Lloyd's broker working mainly on Film and Media Production insurance on both a retail and wholesale basis. I moved back to working in Southend from 2022, on general Commercial and Private Lines insurance and started at LBH Insurance in June 2023.

I specialise within the waste and construction sectors and have long standing relationships with insurers, ensuring my clients with both coverage and premiums.

From there I continued with insurance working on professional indemnity at LBH Insurance expanding my knowledge within professional indemnity and moving into the property market. I aim to provide our clients with a seamless and professional experience in sourcing their insurance needs.
Mike Stammers

I have worked in insurance for nearly 26 years since leaving school. I started off in Motorcycle insurance and progressed on to Household, Travel, and other products before moving to London and then to sunny Southend!
In my previous role I was a Manager of a team dealing with Caravan and Landlords' insurance products, with a firm belief in treating customers fairly and delivering positive outcomes for our clients, insurers and providers. I also firmly believe in training and the development of staff as this is vital in achieving the previously stated goals. Many of my staff have gone on to hugely successful careers in the industry. I was also a School Governor for seven years as I have a huge interest in education and leadership in general.
After nearly 20 years in my previous role, I joined LBH in 2022 as an Account Executive, assisting our clients in acquiring suitable cover for their needs. Now as Compliance Manager my goal is to develop and maintain our regulatory responsibilities. The team members are all dedicated, experienced professionals with multiple years in the sector and we all look forward to developing the business.

I commenced my insurance career in 1971 with Commercial Union, West End office, and progressed to Local Manager Southend on Sea in 1983 dealing with all classes of insurance.
Circa 1988 transferred to the broking world in the local area and joined LBH in 2013.
Throughout that time I have always provided a personal service to both commercial and private clients, many of whom have followed me in my career and who have also become good friends and not just clients during the journey.
